Nikon announced a new DSLR camera is the D5100. The camera is an update for the company's popular Model D5000. Of course, the new model offers several improvements in accuracy, the screen, and video recording.
As mentioned, the camera is an update to a previous model and is currently is above the Alnicon D3100. Of the new features in the camera are provided for a dedicated external microphone sold separately "is at the bottom." The objective of the microphone is picking up sound better when recording video.
